U.S. Office of Personnel Management Awards ID Experts® Identity Protection Services Contract
PORTLAND, Ore. – On December 21, 2018, the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (“OPM”) awarded a new Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) Call to ID Experts, to continue the provision of identity theft protection services to those individuals whose personal information may have been compromised in the 2015 cybersecurity incidents. The new consolidated followon award to the 2015 and 2016 awards to ID Experts will have a possible full period of performance of 5 years and value in excess of $400 million.

In September 2015, the Department of Defense and OPM announced ID Experts was awarded a BPA Call to provide identity monitoring and protection services for individuals impacted by the background investigations records. The following year, in October 2016, OPM awarded ID Experts a BPA Call to provide services for those individuals impacted solely by the personnel records cyber incident.
Since the beginning of the initial award in 2015, ID Experts has enrolled millions of individuals into MyIDCare™ credit and identity monitoring and protection services, received and responded to millions of calls by enrolled Individuals and has issued over a hundred million routine credit and identity monitoring alerts. ID Experts has maintained its commitment to provide services to enrolled individuals regardless of the cause of any reported fraudulent activity and remains proud to have maintained a 100 percent success rate in restoring credit and identities in response to enrollee claims.
Known as MyIDCare to enrolled individuals, ID Experts will continue to provide uninterrupted credit and identity monitoring, identity restoration services and identity theft insurance through the duration of the BPA Call. Individuals currently enrolled in services will continue to receive government-sponsored coverage from ID Experts at no cost, and do not need to take any further action at this time. All enrolled individuals continue to be automatically covered by identity theft restoration and identity theft insurance.
